Banana-Chai Protein Shake
Disclaimer: I cannot take total credit for the creation of this recipe because we make a similar protein shake at work (Lifetime fitness café) but I health-ified it and tweaked it a bit! I used different protein powder, a whole frozen banana, unsweetened almond milk, and sugar-free chai instead of whey protein, milk, and regular chai.
I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious this recipe turned out on the first try! I measured everything out as I made it so that I could post it if it turned out. This protein shake is perfect for pre/post workout or as dessert! It is perfectly sweet and full of healthy carbs & protein and is low in calories- double win!
I used a packet of Fitmiss (by Musclepharm) Vanilla Chai Protein Powder in it that I got in my June Fitsnack box. I was most excited about this item in my fitsnack box because I really love Muscle pharm Combat protein powder. I definitely will be buying Fitmiss Vanilla Chai protein powder by the tubful. I think it will be my new favorite protein powder. I am obsessed. I will add it to my collection of strawberry, vanilla, chocolate, mint chocolate, and peanut butter protein powder.
I attempted to take a photo of me with my protein shake but that did not work out well. I just feel so silly taking selfies. Hence why I never have any pictures of just myself- I only take photos with other people in them. So here’s another pic of my much more photogenic smoothie 🙂
I have listed the ingredients below along with the nutrition facts! This smoothie has 19 grams of protein, and all natural sugars & carbs from the banana making it absolutely PERFECT for pre/post workout.
